Our client an industry leading organisation in West-London is seeking to hire a Business Analyst to work on a permanent basis. The Business Analyst is responsible for aligning the needs of the business units within the EMEA region with the capabilities delivered by information technology.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works under the supervision of the Business Relationship Manager with appropriate business unit stakeholders to understand project concept, objectives and approach.
  • Assists the Manager, EMEA IT Business Relationship in coordinating the assigned project from original concept through final implementation: defining project scope and objectives, creating and maintaining project schedules by developing project plan and specifications, estimating time requirements, tracking all phases of the project product/service life cycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts.
  • Documents, priorities and tracks requests (changes, enhancements, etc.) and coordinates with change management processes.
  • Conducts regular project meetings with the business units and Manager, EMEA IT Business Relationship.
  • Works closely with IT personnel, Manager, EMEA IT Business Relationship and the business unit to identify and maximise opportunities to use information technology to improve product, service and/or business processes.
  • Reviews, analyses, and creates detailed documentation of business systems and user needs, including workflow, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.

Minimum Job Requirements

The BA must possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics:

  • Strong technical skills coupled with business acumen
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working as a BA
  • Ability to negotiate and convince
  • Knowledge of organisation processes and workflows
  • Demonstrated customer relationship building, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written customer- oriented communication skills
  • Ability to make correct and timely decisions, effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Skilled at working within a team-oriented/collaborative environment to complete work

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor degree in Management of Information Systems or related discipline and/or equivalent in work experience.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification preferred.
  • ITIL v3
  • Knowledge of a foreign language: German, Italian, Spanish is preferable.
