Harris Global are currently recruiting for a 2nd/3rd Line Application Support Analyst to work for a prestigious financial services organisation based in Central London.

The Enterprise Application Support Analyst will be responsible for ongoing support and service improvement of applications, providing 2nd and 3rd line support.

This would suit a candidate who has a proven track record of working within financial services organisations in a similar role, who is keen to develop and work with several different technologies.

Our client invests in development and try to encourage employees to undertake at least one accreditation per year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for the organisations application suite
  • Troubleshooting any issues that arise and implement fixes as required
  • Provide assistance to other IT support teams for issues
  • Trend recurring incidents and provide suitable long term solutions
  • Work closely with the Database Administrators and Storage teams in relation to incidents, capacity management & service improvements
  • Technical liaison with vendors as required
  • Provide on-call support on a regular basis, working in a shift pattern
  • Liaise with Service and Problem Management during incidents
  • Work with the Change Manager to implement application changes
  • Provide technical expertise of the applications suite to junior members of the team

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Windows Enterprise Operating Systems (Windows 2003 and above)
  • Managing web applications (IIS/Application Server Roles)
  • Networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Database connection methods (Oracle, SQL)
  • Supporting web-based applications
  • Source Control Management
  • Scripting (especially PowerShell)
  • Citrix environments and application delivery via Citrix
  • VMWare/Virtualisation
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Linux/Unix
