Harris Global are currently recruiting for a PeopleSoft Delivery Manager to start ASAP for a large company based in the Manchester area for an initial 9-month contract.

Job Purpose

To plan, prioritise and deliver UK based projects, specifically in Peoplesoft technologies. To manage a team of software development resources (permanent, contract and partner) based worldwide though predominately in the UK and India. To manage 3rd parties involved in the provision of software components to the businesses. To provide consultancy, leveraging your considerable Peoplesoft experience, to ensure that optimal designs are achieved.

Accountabilities and Activities

To be Accountable for:

  • The recruitment, leading, management, coaching, motivation and development of a team of Software Development Specialists, both onshore and offshore, in line with business and IS plans.
  • Facilitating and/or undertaking the performance review process as appropriate.
  • Ensuring resource productivity and performance.
  • Facilitating technical and career development.
  • Ensuring that all team members comply with the Health & Safety at work’ legislation.
  • Managing the delivery for a portfolio of varied projects eg Application, Middleware, Infrastructure.

This would include, for example:

  • Engaging and managing third parties in Fixed Price’ contracts for the delivery of software components.
  • Managing the day to day workload of the on-shore/off-shore development resources.
  • Producing and delivering the high-level estimates (resource activity & costs) for assigned projects.
  • Producing and delivering the final development estimates (resource activity and costs) for assigned projects.
  • Producing progress reports for all assigned projects.
  • Building and maintaining resource forecast plans for on-shore and off-shore resources.
  • Ensuring that software development utilisation targets (capital & revenue) are adhered to.
  • Providing all stakeholders with status of work in progress and workload, and raising any risks and issues as appropriate.
  • Capability to review the technical aspects of team members’ work for adherence to best practice coding methods and group standards.
  • Ensuring that the quality of deliverables and services are as agreed.
  • Ensuring that the appropriate Software Development policies, procedures and practices are adhered to.
  • Developing effective working relationships with colleagues across IS and the business to gain their commitment, support and resource to deliver projects
  • Contributing to and subsequently implementing the processes, practices and metrics needed to consistently deliver high quality.
  • Assisting in the review of SLAs and standards about the management of relevant development environments and Software Configuration.
  • Ensuring that relevant development environments, including Software Configuration, are maintained and managed according to defined SLAs and standards.
  • Recommending opportunities to the Application Services Manager to improve the overall IS Strategy, role of IS or its service to users to increase the value of IS to the organisation.
  • Deputising for the Application Services Manager where appropriate.
  • Keeping up to date on the organisation and business, the healthcare marketplace and IT industry opportunities to provide systems solutions.

  • Proven ability to work both on own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with senior management.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to identify and develop highly skilled software development staff
  • Ability to work effectively with other individuals within IS to provide optimum solutions for delivery.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple activities and schedule work accordingly
  • Ability to be proactive about the management and tracking of ongoing software development activities
  • Ability to provide constructive challenge and feedback to team members and to use the strengths of the team to deliver optimum solutions
  • Qualifications in project management, preferably PRINCE2

The Security Operations Analyst will monitor information security controls within the organisation by analysing daily reports for all security tools in line with information security policies and practices and dealing with any/all security incidents. Additionally, you will be involved and required to provide help and assistance to any and all security incident that may be identified working as part of a team to contain, mitigate and provide a resolution.

Key Requirements

  • Deep experience in at least one technology tower out of: End User Computing, Hosting or Networks.

  • Experience in Information Security, specifically in Carbon Black/Bit9 (Protection & Response)
