Harris Global are currently recruiting for an Application Support Lead who will be responsible for 2nd and 3rd level support for a range of vendor and internally developed financial applications.
Responsibilities will include:
- Recognised as the subject matter expert on all the critical applications supporting the business
- Maintaining a high level of hands-on support across the application portfolio, with a detailed understanding of the relationships between applications and business functions
- Ensure correct running of all applications and processes including start/end of business day checks
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all required processes and procedures, specifically change management, access control and security
- Take the lead to investigate and resolve application and business issues relating to applications and processes
- Escalate problems and errors to 3rd line support or vendor teams and act as problem owner to deliver resolution
- Improve and enhance application and system monitoring and alerting
- Coordinate application implementations and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other internal technology, project & business groups and external vendors
- Encourage continuous service improvement and manual task automation
Candidate must possess:
- The suitable candidate will be a well experienced Application Support lead with excellent knowledge of supporting financial applications within a high-paced Investment Management/banking environment
- Experience applying logical and systematic trouble-shooting techniques of application support issues
- Candidates will have at the very minimum of 3 year’s SQL and Windows server experience.
- Knowledge of SWIFT SAA/SAG environment support, FIX messaging, Fiserv Accurate and/or MS Dynamics CRM
- Experience using automated tools
- Strong financial business understanding ideally from working in the financial sector
- Proven track record and experience of supporting high availability solutions in business critical environments
- End to end application functionality knowledge; be able to demonstrate clear understanding of patterns of business activity, user journeys and application capabilities
