Harris Global are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry leading client who are looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate must possess Azure experience and be able to write their own PowerShell scripts proficiently. Candidates who do not possess this knowledge will not be considered.
Responsibilities will include:
- Hands-on experience as a lead or senior engineer in an infrastructure operations support function including very good understanding of ITSM processes and ways of working (eg incident, request, problem and change management)
- 5+ years specialising in Windows server infrastructure operational support, including administration of on-premise and cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS platforms (particularly Microsoft Azure)
- Understanding of creation, modification and maintenance of scripts using popular Scripting languages (eg PowerShell), with a focus on reducing manual effort through creative deployment of these tools
- Support and development of core infrastructure services, including:
- Windows Server 2012/16/19
- Virtualisation technologies (VMware)
- SAN and file storage technologies
- Active Directory
- Backup and Recovery tools (eg eVault, Azure Backup, Recovery Manager for AD)
- Configuration Management tools (eg SCCM, Group Policy)
- Automation tools (eg Powershell, Git, Azure DevOps)
- Cloud technologies (eg Azure AD, Azure Site Recovery)
- Monitoring tools (eg SCOM, Nagios, Solarwinds)
- Security tools (McAfee AV/ePO, Microsoft Defender)
