We are looking for a SharePoint Technician to work in the Infrastructure Services team, this role will be remote. The roles primary focus will be supporting the Infrastructure ensuring stability, performance and a scalable architecture. The focus for the role will be a SME for the team and ensure BAU, engineering functions and project delivery are conducted in line with the department strategy:

Skills/Experience:

SharePoint 2013 on-premise administrator and SharePoint Online administrator experience

Good knowledge of SharePoint Online admin center, configuring external sharing and maintaining site collections

Experience in managing SharePoint migration projects, ideally from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online. Migration tool experience (Metalogix or AvePoint) beneficial

Microsoft 365 applications with a focus on Microsoft’s Power Platform apps

Designing, enhancing, developing and maintaining solutions using Microsoft Technologies (SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI)

Working knowledge of Power Apps data gateway to connect to on-Prem SQL Server

Good working knowledge and understanding of SharePoint 2013 Sandbox solutions

Knowledge of SharePoint workflows

Experience in canvas app development with SharePoint Online as data source

Experience in canvas app development with Azure SQL as data source using custom connectors

Power Platform fundamentals PL-900

Good knowledge of PowerShell

Experience of managing SharePoint migration projects, ideally SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint online

Experience of working with migration tools such as Metalogix/AvePoint

Experience with Office 365 (M365) support/knowledge

Demonstrable experience of working within a customer-centric business.

Provide best practice support and maintenance for Wintel based platforms and supporting infrastructure including the delivery the following:

Operational, initiative and project based activities

System level performance management

Patch, vulnerability and anti-virus management

Backup & Disaster recovery management/capability

Operating system hardening

Participate in design and technology reviews and provide documentation where needed.

Work with Service Delivery function to ensure the delivery into production of new or upgraded Wintel Infrastructure changes are carried out according to agreed quality processes and schedules.

Manage infrastructure assets ensuring the correct balance of proactive & reactive maintenance, to deliver optimum service levels.

Ensure Wintel Estate and related services are pro-actively monitored/tuned to maintain service availability and performance

Ensure support processes are defined and continuously reviewed, appropriate documentation created and training requirements are identified. Where appropriate prepare and deliver cross team training

Adhere to the Change Management process; ensuring changes are implemented with minimal business impact where possible and to ensure risk and impact is considered. Define the critical application events to understand the impact/key aspects of Application/Infrastructure changes.

Resolve incidents and service requests within SLA’s to deliver optimum service to the business with management of any third parties or partners

Work closely with Incident and Problem Managers on Issues/Investigations/RCA

Key responsibilities include:
