Harris Global are currently on the lookout for a Data Analyst with strong knowledge of Data Governance, to join our FTSE250 listed Financial Services client.

You will have a strong data analysis background and help our client grow the value of their data across the business through data governance initiatives.

Key skills will include:

• A great problem solver: technical, data or organisational
• A passion, experience and strong understanding of data management and governance frameworks, processes, and tools
• Specific experience with implementing and embedding a data catalogue into the business
• Database experience including SQL and supporting modelling tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to distil a complex topic into a presentation to senior stakeholders
• A strong background and passion for data and analytics

Highly Desirable:

• Experience with wealth management preferred but not mandatory
• Data governance or data management experience including tools and frameworks preferred
• Familiar with database tools, BI tooling or reporting experience is desirable
• Familiar with using data governance tools and frameworks preferred (eg, data quality, master data management, meta-data/data catalogues, data lineage, Datamodelling, control assessments, data flow modelling, etc.)
• Familiar with maintaining formal specifications such as data requirements for projects, policies or frameworks, operating procedures or possesses related experience
• Experience with defining or maintaining requirements, process models and data models using software tools
• Familiar with broader industry standards on data protection (eg GDPR) and broad understanding of data protection requirements and controls for client data protection
