Harris Global are currently on the lookout for a Junior Infrastructure Devops Engineer to work for one of our clients based in London. This a permanent opportunity working on a hybrid basis. This is a junior role, and the ideal candidate will have 2-3 years' experience in a Devops role.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver and design a best-in-class cloud application platform on Azure

• Work in a cross-functional team alongside peers from Data and Systems Integration
• Help build POCs and assess new technologies
• Review architectural and configuration changes in a cloud environment
• With input from our Data Protection Officer, identify and fill regulatory gaps across all our systems and regions
• Maintain small on-premise Nutanix/VMware clusters.
• Maintain key office infrastructure that include Cisco/FortiGate solutions.

Experience:

• Knowledge of Scripting (Preferably JavaScript)
• Azure experience
• Familiar with infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Familiar service discovery & orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Hashicorp Nomad & Consul)
• Familiar with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, MongoDB, CosmosDB and ElasticSearch
• Familiar with setting up and managing virtual environments and CI/CD pipelines
